New Stafford project _comparable to CityCentre,_ developer says

In what’s pegged to be one of 2016’s most ambitious undertakings, Dallas-based StreetLevel Investments closed on 200 acres in Stafford that includes the former Texas Instruments Inc. (Nasdaq: TXN) campus for its first Houston-area project.

“For forever, it was the Texas Instruments campus,” said Adam Schiller, managing principal of StreetLevel. “Over the past 50 years, everyone has known exactly where it is. Everyone knows someone who’s played ball out there, or driven by it. It’s an iconic site.”

StreetLevel’s plan is to develop the site into a mixed-use concept with more than 350,000 square feet of retail and restaurants, 2,400 residential units, Class A office space, two hotels, and a health club all built around a central food hall and park. The project’s construction and completion timeline is lofty – Schiller said they’re working on a loose, 10-year timeline for the project.
